Quick Pickle Kit selects UC Davis Veterinary Emergency Response Team as Recipient

QuickPickleKit.com believes in giving back. Each year, we select organizations that will receive 10% of sales from purchases on the QuickPickleKit.com website. We are proud to support the Veterinary Emergency Response Team (VERT) at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine by donating to provide medical supplies, transportation, medicine and food for displaced animals until they can be reunited with their families.

VERT is a volunteer group lead by faculty and staff with extensive experience in animal rescue and disaster medicine. Currently, VERT is out in the field gathering, triaging and caring for animals in the California Camp Fire and there is an Unclaimed Pets from the Camp fire Facebook page.

Andrea Wasko + Meaghan Gilbert, founders of QuickPickleKit.com, are members of the Estero Bay Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for Los Osos, Morro Bay and Cayucos, California. “When we saw VERT in action and the animals that they were saving, we couldn’t fathom the magnitude of the challenges that they must be facing. As avid animal lovers, we wanted to do something to help”, states Gilbert and Wasko.
